F4U Corsair .60
Hangar 9's F4U Corsair ruled the skies over the pacific during WWII. Now you can experience the thrill of this WWII Beauty.
Known as "Whistling Death" to its WWII opponents, the Corsair today is one of R/C's top scale projects. Flown by the famed Black Sheep Squadron, it was One of the most devastating airplanes flown during WWII. See the F4U Corsair in action here. The Corsair comes with preinstalled retracts that rotate 90 degrees for greater realism.
Build Instructions
The plans are clearly drawn, and the parts fit the plans well. The assembly manual is top notch. All details are well documented. However, you may need to move the control arm on the bellcrank to the outside hole to provide the retracts with additional travel.
I suggest reading the instructions thoroughly, to get a good feel for what they're telling you to do before starting your build.
Flight Characteristics
The F4U Corsair flying qualities are top notch. Hangar 9 did a fantastic job of producing this legendary warbird. Construction quality and appearance are first rate. Its Ultracote covering is exceptional, and the intricate design details ensure that all the custom pieces fit.
If you like building and the appearance of a scale airplane, I highly recommend this kit.
